The Laba Festival will be coming in this week to Northeast China, Northwest China and Jiangnan. It is the ancient tradition of offering sacrifices to ancestors and gods, praying for good harvest. Legend has it that this day is the enlightenment day of the Buddha hitting the road. This is one of the great Buddhist festivals.
